How Does Exchange Work ?

  • Once you've decided which device to purchase, provide details of your old device in the Exchange Offer form. Offer valid on select devices only
  • Once the Order is placed, the new device will be shipped in next 48 hours
  • Pack your old device safely in a small bubble satchel or small size of protective box, we’ll oragnise pick up from your nominated address in the next 24 hours and hand in your old device to the courier executive at the time of pickup
Following issues will lead to a reduction in exchange value
  • On Screen: Cracks, Screen coming out of body, touch-screen issue or discoloration. The display should not have any spots or dead pixels.
  • On Body: Cracks, Body bent/bulge/de-shaped, parts missing. Battery should not be swollen.
  • Depending on the condition of device, the exchange value can reduce. The value drop is predecided by Swapgears.

In case of drop in exchange value, customer can pay the difference amount via PayPal or Credit or Debit Cards. Check eligibility on exchange page in "Read all" section where customer is shown the exchange value.

  • Device does not switch on
  • Brand/model is different from what is mentioned provided by me in the Swapgears Website at the time of purchase of the new device
  • Screen lock (all forms of screen lock viz; pattern, pin, password, fingerprint, face recognition, smart lock, etc. needs to be deactivated) or iCloud lock (Apple phones) is not removed
  • In case customer does not like the exchange value offered, he/she can choose to not give the exchange phone to Swapgears and pay difference amount to get the new device

How do I know if my device is eligible for the Exchange Offer?

To verify if your old device qualifies for the Offer, check the list of eligible devices in the Exchange Offer form.

How do I avail the Exchange Offer?

We will need some details about your old device, so please fill out the Exchange Offer form. You'll then see the effective final price of the device you wish to purchase. Post that, our QA team will make a few checks as soon as we receive old device at our premises and if condition matches, we’ll release new device same day via express post.

How do I send my old device back?

Your old device will be picked up by courier partner within next 24 hours of order placed. Kindly keep your old phone or device ready with all your data backed up.

How do I find the IMEI number of my mobile phone?

The IMEI number can be found by dialing *#06# on your phone. You can also find it by removing the battery. It is printed on your phone below the battery slot

Should the device be in working condition to qualify for this offer?

Yes. The device needs to be in working condition. It also needs to have all screen locks disabled and the iCloud Account unlocked to initiate the exchange process.

Can I exchange more than one device towards a purchase?

You may only exchange one device at a time.

What's the bill value when I avail the Exchange Offer?

The invoice sent to you will have the final adjusted amount.

Can I provide one address for pick up and another for delivery?

Yes

Can I hand in a different device for Exchange?

You can only exchange the device for which you have provided details.

Any reminders before I exchange my device?

Kindly ensure all your data is backed up and cleared from your old phone before exchange. You may also remove the memory card, Swapgears or the seller will not be responsible for any misuse as a result. In the event the device is not working or is not able to do an iCloud unlock check or screen lock check/IMEI check due to a phone being "factory reset" the exchange might not go through.

The phone I'm exchanging is a dual SIM device. Do I have to provide both the IMEI numbers while filling the Exchange Offer form?

You need to just mention one IMEI number while filling the form.

If my old item is found ineligible for the exchange during delivery, is it possible to make an additional payment at that time and collect only the new product?

After QA inspection, if your exchange item does not qualify for exchange you can still get your new product by paying an additional amount via PayPal or Credit Card.

By participating in the exchange, I confirm that I am the sole and absolute owner and/or user of the product mentioned above (device).

I understand that checks will be conducted by our QA team on old device before dispatching new device from our premises.

I understand that in the event the device is not working or the is not able to do an iCloud unlock check or screen lock check / IMEI check due to a phone being 'factory reset or if there is any mismatch in the information provided by me regarding the device, then the exchange offer will be cancelled and we deliver old device back to customer and if customer wants to keep new device then should pay amount in full to process the order or cancel whole order. Any amount paid at the time of purchase of the new device will be refunded as per the refund policy of Swapgears, subject to deduction of pickup charges as provided below.

I confirm that device which I am exchanging under the exchange/ buyback program is genuine and is not counterfeit, free from any and all encumbrances, liens, attachments, disputes, legal flaws, exchange or any agreement of sale etc. and I have got the clear ownership of the said device.

The final price will be inclusive of all discounts and other offers available on the product exchange program.

I understand that the old device is being bought by the retailer from whom I am purchasing the new device solely in exchange for the purchase of the new device from the retailer. There is no other consideration due from the retailer or Swapgears to me for availing the exchange program.

I agree to indemnify and keep indemnifying Swapgears, the retailer and any future buyer of the device against all or any third-party claims, demands, costs, expenses including attorney fees which may be suffered, incurred, undergone or sustained by Swapgears, its affiliates, the retailer or any future buyer due to usage of the device by me till date.

I confirm that all the data in the said device will be erased by me before handing it over under the exchange program. I also confirm that in spite of erasing the data manually/electronically, if any data is still accessible due any technical reason, Swapgears or the retailer shall not be responsible for the same and I will not approach Swapgears.com.au or the retailer for any retrieval of the data.

I hereby give my consent that my personal information that I have provided in connection with this exchange program might be processed, transferred and retained by the retailer and other entities involved in managing the program for the purposes of validating the information that I provided herein and for the administration of the program.

I understand once a device is sent by me to Swapgears, they’ve rights to make decision on keep the device with them or return back to customer.

I understand that different yields will be provided for different devices.

I understand that the new device delivery and the old device pickup will happen separately, and I shall keep the old device ready to be given for exchange.

In relation to shipping charges of old device I understand that I will have to pay pickup charges towards shipping charges of old device as mentioned in the checkout page. The pickup charges will be over and above the exchange value of the old device. I understand and agree that in the event that the exchange offer is cancelled as a result of the old device failing any of the checks for the product exchange program mentioned in this Terms and Conditions - the refund of any payment made will be after deducting the pickup charges.
